Manchester Eats Week 2013 | Rouge Grille

Eats Week goes on! It’s been a while since Dave and I got to go out for dinner, so I studied the Eats Week deals from Intown Manchester, trying to decide where we should use our one babysitting card for the week. While restaurants like Firefly and The Farm had distinctly great 3-course meal deals, other restaurants had discounted menu items and various deals. I settled on Rouge Grille, because it’s a new place (and now occupies the space where Z Food & Drink used to be) and we had never been there.  Although, if you had ever been to Z it was very very similar.

The martini list was extensive and interesting! I started with the Miu Miu: Pear Vodka, Domain de Canton, fresh lime juice, & splash of cranberry.

From the Eats Week Menu -dinners for $15–, I started with the wedge salad. I am a total sucker for a wedge, even if it’s just a giant chunk of iceberg lettuce, as long as it’s a vehicle for a good blue cheese dressing and bacon, I AM THERE. I have a vast collection of wedge salad photos over the years.Eats Week Manchester NH | Rouge Grille | Wedge Salad

For the entree, I went with the Vindaloo Curry Alfredo Haddock, because it sounded so wildly bizarre and different. And it was! wonderfully!

“Smooth, creamy alfredo sauce with strong vindaloo curry flavor and  penne pasta topped with fresh blackened haddock and shoestring cucumber salad.”

And then I also tried the Cavalli: Three-O Orange vodka, Pinnacle Whipped Vodka, fresh lemon juice, splash of Lemoncello cream (totally tasted like cake!)
