The good folks over at the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Manchester invited me back for a third time to photograph their new menu that just rolled out. The Pavilion Restaurant has added some beautiful new appetizers, entrees to their impressive list of beautifully prepared food. Chef Jason Jette continues to WOW and delight guests of the restaurant with his skillful presentation and inventive flavors.
One clever way that the hotel uses these photos is to place a digital photo frame on the front desk, which rotates through all of their professional food photos, and catches the eye of anyone standing at the desk. They’ve told me that this has been very effective in attracting guests to eat at the restaurant. How can you not be enticed, seeing photos like this scrolling by as you’re checking into your room?
A new appetizer is this warm bubbly crock of French onion soup.
Filet Mignon with potato croquette, haricot vert
As usual, I shot these photos in a corner table by the windows during an afternoon when the restaurant was closed. The chef brought out the dishes as they were prepared, and I shot each one in a variety of angles, using only natural light. The entire photo shoot of six different items took less than 40 minutes, from the time I got out of my car to the time I was back sitting in my car.
