A couple of weeks ago, we had a wonderful meal at Revival Kitchen & Bar in downtown Concord NH, celebrating our 22nd wedding anniversary and my 39th birthday again (haha)! The food and service were both wonderful, and we had a very pretty window seat where we got to watch a pink sunset as the sun went down.

We started with a cheese plate, and you’d think I, as a cheesemonger, would be sick of cheese at this point but they had Tapping Reeve from Arethusa Farm in Litchfield CT, which is my favorite! And we also got Bayley Hazen Blue from Jasper Hill Farm in Greensboro VT, along with a little cup of Spanish marcona almonds because I wanted Dave to try them.

They also bring out some nice bread and butter to start with, and I got a margarita. Their drinks are a bit smaller than other places and reasonably priced, but they still pack the same punch which kind of sneaks up on you.

Seasonal Dinner Entrees
I had the dinner special for the night which was a 12 oz local pork chop over spaetzel, butternut squash, and cabbage, in a pool of cider cream sauce. Very delicious and very fall! I love the farm to table aspect of their menu, and it genuinely reflects the seasonal tastes of New England.

Dave had the shrimp and crabmeat stuffed flounder with vermouth cream sauce. Everything was artfully presented and so beautiful.

Everything was wonderful, and then as a surprise they brought us two chai macarons with a candle. Just lovely!

We were so impressed with the service and hospitality, the quality of the food, and the lovely welcoming atmosphere that we will certainly be back for another special occasion!
