High Street Farmhouse | Goffstown, NH

Isn’t brunch amazing? In what other meal can you possibly have cinnamon rolls, crab cake sliders, and a Cosmo, all at noon on a Sunday?  Today Dave and I finally had a chance to try Goffstown’s newest and most anticipated new restaurant, the High Street Farmhouse.  Today was our big day! So excited! (we don’t get out much….)  We were both really impressed. The food was so, so good. I’m so happy that we now have a place like this right here in Goffstown.  Being a food photographer, I can’t resist snapping a few shots of beautiful new food (and I may or may not have requested the little table at the window by the front door for its nice light).

Here’s what we had.  A cosmo at noon on a Sunday? Yes, please.

Complimentary warm cinnamon rolls started off the festivities.   Next, we had these amazing Maine Crab Cake Sliders on focaccia as our appetizer (although, at this point, isn’t this like three courses in, already? Let’s keep going.)

Dave ordered the Stuffed Ocean Catch (haddock, scallops, and shrimp), and I had the Grilled Texas Press with chicken, gouda, bacon, and beet slaw.

I’m so thrilled that our little town of Goffstown now has such a wonderful restaurant, and I can’t wait to go back again soon. Another noontime Cosmo sure wouldn’t hurt anything.

New! From my visit to the Farmhouse in October 2013, for my 10th wedding anniversary and also my birthday….. another wonderful visit.

Eating and Exploring in New England & Beyond

One thing you’ll always see on the table at a NC barbecue spot is a bottle of @texaspetesauces. If you don’t know, this is not a product from Texas but a North Carolina product. My whole life, I have never really seen anybody put anything on their bbq other than Texas Pete.

Fun fact about me: in the 4th grade in Kernersville NC we had a guy from the Texas Pete family come to speak to my 4th grade class. This would have been 1987 or 88. Must have been great marketing, because I never forgot it.

Lexington Barbecue is not even on IG as far as I can find but they are world famous and I’m glad I got to stop by last week. Shown here: Chopped bbq plate with red slaw, fries, and hushpuppies. #ncbbq #lexingtonbbq #texaspete #bbq #barbecue
