Nuevo Vallarta in Manchester NH has a festive patio that beckons me every time I drive past it on Second Street. Its orange tables and chairs, colorful flags and umbrellas, and pretty potted plants just say one thing to me: margaritas.
On a beautiful Sunday, Dave and I needed Mexican food for lunch, so we headed over as soon as they opened. We basically had the patio to ourselves on a bright and breezy afternoon.
My Favorite: Margarita Flight
I love flights. I love flights of anything, basically. And when it’s a margarita flight, I’m in heaven. Truth be told, I really just like traditional lime margaritas, but sometimes I’m in the mood to try something a little fruity. And these small snack-sized margaritas are just perfect for the sweeter flavors.
In this flight, I had lime, mango with a tajin rim, coconut and strawberry. All delicious! My favorites were the lime and coconut.
Queso Fundido: Won’t Catch Me Without It
Queso fundido is possibly my favorite food in the world. There are so many Mexican appetizers that I’ve never ordered simply because I can’t NOT get the fundido. My toxic trait is that I often fill up on chips, salsa, and fundido and usually have to take most of my entree home. But I’m not sad about that either, because enchiladas for breakfast is the best.
Margaritas, chips and salsa, and queso fundido. This is literally my happiest place.
Enchiladas Supremas
The Enchiladas Supremas is a great choice when you crave just a little of everything. It’s 4 enchiladas, one each of shredded chicken, shredded beef, cheese, and bean. You get to choose cheese sauce, red or green sauce. I almost got the cheese dip sauce but better judgment prevailed and I saved myself 18,000 calories. Probably.
Nuevo Vallarta is a fantastic Mexican restaurant in Manchester NH. The best thing is that there is also a sister restaurant called Puerto Vallarta which is just feet away. I’ve been going there for years and it’s always wonderful. The more Mexican restaurants, the better, if you ask me.
