I am lucky enough to have multiple jobs that capture my most passionate interest: food photography. I cannot envision myself in any sort of job that doesn’t involve food photography in some way.
As a wedding photographer, there is one aspect of a wedding day that intersects perfectly with food photography, and that is the catering. In many instances, the catering is an afterthought for the photographer, and I think that it should not be. Catering is a pretty significant portion of the wedding budget, and should be photographed accordingly. Especially when you have obtained a top-tier caterer like Autumn Nomad.

I’ve worked with Jamie at Autumn Nomad before. Back in 2018 we did a styled shoot designed and spearheaded by Mary at Lotus Floral Designs at Carter Hill Orchard in Concord. We ended up getting a 14-page spread in New Hampshire Magazine’s BRIDE for that shoot. Not bad!
As many weddings as I’ve shot, I always kept hoping for more that were catered by Autumn Nomad. So far, none have happened…….. until just recently. On June 27, 2026, I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee at a private home in Moultonborough NH. This wedding was planned and designed by the vendor dream team of Private Weddings and Events, Lotus Floral Designs, and Autumn Nomad Events.

An Opulent Grazing Board

The Wedding Cake
The stunning wedding cake was a slender three-tier beauty covered in cornflower blue floral designs. Then, a cascade of bright rosettes playfully wrapped around the tiers in summery colors of pinks, oranges, and yellows. The flowers looked like the ranunculus that mirrored the same flowers in the bride’s bouquet.

Autumn Nomad Dessert Buffet
The desserts set out in the evening were equally beautiful. Along with slices of wedding cake, there were wild blueberry handpies, s’mores tarts, and sumptuous brownies. All were presented in beautiful little bite sized servings.

It’s a pleasure to capture these wedding memories for my clients. Rarely have I seen such a beautiful display of food, so I hope they know how special this is!
