I remember clearly that it was just 2.5 years ago when we first visited Riverside Grille, just after it opened. Since then, this restaurant has secured its place as a favorite among Goffstown and New Boston residents. So much so, that they finally installed a permanent sign out front (which looks great) and news recently broke that they’re opening a sister location in Weare (in the former building occupied by Stark House Tavern) called Cowboy Cantina. So it’s safe to say that the Riverside Grille is doing well and expects to stay around for a while!

Classic Appetizer
We started with the Espinaca dip: Spicy spinach & cheese dip topped with southwest salsa, served with tortilla chips.

Fall Specials
Here in early September, the fall specials are already rolling out and people are excited for the transition into comfy warming foods. I started with the Salted Caramel Espresso Martini, and it was chilled, creamy, and wonderful. It didn’t even fit in the glass, so our server left me the shaker to refill when I had more room.

I got the Harvest Chicken which sounded so delicious.
Pumpkin and mascarpone filled ravioli in a maple cream sauce with bacon and candied walnuts, all topped with grilled chicken.

I absolutely loved this creamy pasta with warming spices and little notes of sweetness from the candied walnuts and salty from the bacon bits.

Dave had wanted to try another item from the fall menu, but they were out of it that day (must be very popular!) so he went with the River Burger and a side of tater tots.

We really enjoyed our meal that day, and we can’t wait to try the new Cowboy Cantina when it opens in November.
