The Meat House | The Audition

In early 2012 I was contacted by The Meat House, who as you all know is a glorious speciality food store throughout New Hampshire, and a few other states, that specializes in quality butchery as well as gourmet food products, many of which are locally sourced. They were looking to have some commercial photographs taken of their stores, specifically for the new flagship store that was being built in Stratham, near the Seacoast. I was invited to come to their Bedford store and essentially do an audition, which was fun. They asked me to shoot a few photos throughout the store in order to get a sense of my style and to see if it would work with a particular branding style that they were going for in their web design.

In the end, I didn’t get the job, but no doubt it was an honor to be considered, right? I still enjoyed getting to photograph a beautiful shop which is something that I always want to do, but rarely get the chance.  Unbelievably, that was two years ago, and I realized I never blogged these photos. So here they are, these commercial shots that nobody ever saw.

Eating and Exploring in New England & Beyond

Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken...... it was like 93 degrees and yet I could not resist this hot dish even though we were eating outside. Wouldn't it be smarter to just get a friggin salad? No. Call me crazy I guess. I've enjoyed this dish at @putnamswaterviewrestaurant for 20+ years now, always so good, and made to order with cream and romano cheese. The cheesy garlic bread slices just hit the spot!

The handcut onion rings at @putnamswaterviewrestaurant have always been epic. Lightly breaded and piled high, these will feed your whole group.
