I’m very excited to be published in Imbibe Magazine for a second time. A couple of months ago, I went out to Earth Eagle Brewings in Portsmouth to photograph the making of gruits, which is ancient type of beer made without hops, and instead with many other types of herbs. They concoct fascinating combinations of herbs and even meats in their gruits.
The herbs and spices are weighed out carefully and wrapped in a large cheesecloth bag and steeped like a teabag, infusing the brew with flavor and often herbal/medicinal qualities.
