For the second year in a row, I failed at the Taco Gigante Challenge at Margarita’s Mexican Restaurant in Manchester, NH. In October they offer a huge 1 foot, 2 pound taco, and if you can eat it all you win free tacos for a year.
This taco is massive. And it’s actually quite good! It’s loaded with everything: chicken, beef, bacon, veggies, cheese, sour cream, and tons of jalapenos. I actually enjoyed it very much. But….. you know, I just couldn’t do it. After the damage was done, I would estimate I had about a third left, which made for great leftovers for the next day’s breakfast. I ain’t mad.
I also love the Margarita flight, which changes monthly. In October, it was:
- Original
- Peach
- Black Cherry
- Cinnamon Apple
October is also my birthday month, so I love the fact that Taco Challenge month is the same! I was able to use my $10 birthday gift for this meal which made it even sweeter. Happy Birthday to me! I’m just living my best taco life.
