In early 2017 I started hearing things about a food truck opening up in Goffstown, but not just any food truck: a taco truck. I could not believe our good fortune. And it was true! The Forking Awesome Food Truck came into our lives in the spring.
This inventive food truck didn’t stop at regular tacos. You could also order a variety of different world styles, including:
- Caribbean Jerk
- Hawaiian Teriyaki
- Korean BBQ
- Memphis BBQ
- Buffalo Ranch
- Thai
- Chorizo and Potato Herb Lime Crema with Cilantro Pesto Slaw
- Greek
The Forking Awesome Food Truck enjoyed locations all around the area including farmer’s markets, festivals, and private catering.
The creative chef had so many beloved dishes such as tortas, turnovers, mac and cheese in many styles, pastas and pierogis, hot dogs, corn dogs, cubano sandwiches, churros, and of course Mexican street corn, elotes. Whatever chef dreamed up, it would hit the truck! Everything is fresh and homemade. This is a guy who clearly cares about the optimal distribution of ingredients! I love the care in the presentation and making sure that there are enough delicious sauces.
From 2017 to 2019 The Forking Awesome Food Truck was a staple around Goffstown, and a beloved fixture at our town events like the Pumpkin Regatta and Old Home Day. Everyone loved their tacos and BBQ Mac & Cheese parfaits. Sadly they did not open for the 2020 season, but we’re hoping for a grand re-opening sometime soon when Covid has gone away.
