There is a delightful neighborhood takeout restaurant on Amory Street on the West Side of Manchester called Presto Craft Kitchen. They specialize in Italian pastas and subs which they call “sticks.” The portions are huge and everything that I’ve tried there has been delicious. I’m lucky enough to live a quick 9 minute drive from Presto, so the pasta temptation is strong. With these takeout orders, I threw together some quick food styling and made a little 3-minute photo shoot.
Presto Craft Kitchen Monthly Specials
In addition to a strong regular menu, Presto features monthly specials which are often seasonally inspired or a chance to showcase fun ingredients. For example, in April the special was the Garlic Bread and Bacon Grilled Double Cheese which was unbelievable. Soooooo much butter, cheese, and garlic. Absolutely delicious.
One of my favorite pasta dishes is the Carbonara which is a rich alfredo with chicken and thick bacon. I’m such a sucker for creamy pastas, and so much on their Alfredo menu appeals heavily to me when I have a big craving.
Roasted Garlic Chicken Florentine was the special for the month of July. Also shown are the Sausage and Steak Bomb sticks.
Sticks = Subs
Presto Craft Kitchen calls their subs “sticks.” They come in 3 sizes of quarter, half, and full: 6 inch, 12 inch, and a whopping 26 inch which is almost the length of your whole arm! Shown here: the chicken cutlet and the meatball.
The first time I ever ordered from Presto Craft Kitchen, I got the Chicken Parmesan which may just be the standard by which many Italian restaurants in this area are judged. This chicken parm was amazing, and the portion is huge. You can get two meals out of this easily, since it comes with two large breaded and fried chicken cutlets, lots of penne pasta, and plenty of sauce and cheese. I really hate it when places don’t add enough sauce and this is not the case with Presto!
So for a $12 “single” size, you easily get two homemade dinners which is a great value. Add in some garlic bread for only $2 and you will be a happy comfort food camper for like two days!
I hope that someday soon they will add online ordering, and maybe even a delivery service like Door Dash, and it will be perfect!
